Let’s tell you a little about us…

Like many businesses, we were a start-up – BBK Accounts was set up by Jenny Coffin in 1999 and began as a sole trader operation in a spare bedroom. Over time as the business grew, we moved into an office (well, many actually over the years), became a limited company, and built a team.

This is the same journey many of our clients will undertake with their fledgling businesses. With our first-hand experience, we are well-equipped to help and guide clients on their way.
 
We are big believers in utilising technology to make life easier and more efficient (especially for clients!).  Depending on each client’s business requirements, how tech savvy they are, and what they want to be able to do with or get out of the software, we can work together to choose the best fit. Once we’ve got someone up and running we will be there to provide system support as often as needed.

But that’s not all. Our bookkeeping and accounts services are not just about taking data and turning it into a VAT return or a set of accounts. It’s more than that. The real purpose behind bookkeeping is to provide meaningful figures in a relevant timeframe that helps someone to run and grow their business. That is our aim and to achieve this we have regular contact with all of our clients and encourage everyone to embrace our ‘real time’ bookkeeping system.

Jenny may be the brains behind the business but it’s her down-to-earth approach and sense of humour that has shaped BBK Accounts into the great accountancy practice that it is. With customer-service at its heart, and the support of a fantastic team, they pride themselves on building trusting, working relationships with their clients.

Focused on bookkeeping for businesses, including landlords and IT professionals, Dave brings a meticulous approach to keeping your financial records in shape. He is also our IT whizz kid, invaluable when there’s a software problem.

Collectively, we have many years of experience and a variety of qualifications, including CTA, AAT, IAB, and ICB.
